70 year old survives 4 days lost in Smokys

I agree - dude sat still, laid out his communication, concerned himself with rationing and water, and because of this was FINE!

Thanks to the rescuers - but I hope I am that badass at 70! He was a 2,000 miler though - what do you expect!

Also points out another thing; this man is a extremly experianced traveller in that park, even having worked there on the trails. Yet when he went off cross country, even he got lost.

If you ain't from there, stay on the marked trails.
 
Thanks for posting this. Great to read about an experienced hiker keeping his head and doing exactly the right thing!
 
Lost 4 days ? I could understand it if he had found a moonshine still !
We seasoned citizens are tougher than you think !
