Just got this little guy in the mail today. I feel like a proud poppa showing off pictures of his kid :D I'm really digging the new pocket clip and the acid washed blade and the copper insert and the milled ti handle. It's pretty awesome, but a bit too pricey. I'll still keep it, tucked away in the collection, but doubt I'll be using this baby anytime soon.

Sadly my funds are limited and this may have put a little damper on my spending for a little while. Need to let my bank account catch back up.

Beautiful. Congratulations to the new proud papa. The 707 is one of my favorite EDC's

Gold Class knives are always hit and miss for me, but wow this is definitely a hit. Best clip I've ever seen on a Benchmade and that copper is GORGEOUS. Beautiful knife!

Congrats! Very nice!

In other pictures it looks darker.

That was the first thing I noticed when I opened the box. Honestly I think even the pics that I showed still look darker than it does in person. I think it would've looked so much better if it had been a darker gray like the promo pic, but I'm still pleased with it.

The hardware does have a slight gold tint, it's just not as pronounced as it is in their picture. Maybe they used some sort of filter to darken the color on that pic or maybe some of the knives actually are that dark, I dunno. Anyway, here's a few more pics in lower light conditions, but it's still hard to actually see the contrast of colors.. BM refers to the hardware as "heat colored".

Ah now I see it. I definitely like the look of the lighter color

Those last pics you posted up really show the knifes colors well. It's an awesome blade. I agree with AusLox the real knife is much nicer than the darker pic version

It's def a gorgeous knife. But I prefer the stock photo with it's (apparent) darker color.

When I first saw this knife via an email from an online dealer , I quickly thought to myself : "The price is steep. So just buy it already before you have time to feel guilty". Glad I saw this thread with pics that show the knife's true lighter color. I still like it a lot. But with its lighter shade , compared to the stock photo , I'm going to pass.

The 707 still remains the ultimate gentleman's knives IMO (or at least one of them). This 707-161 is the best looking Sequel I've seen.

Me too. I would've liked the handle to be at least as dark as the finish on the blade, maybe even a shade or 2 darker. The stock photo looked ideal to me. If I had known the true color before purchasing, I may have passed as well, but I have my doubts that I could have talked myself out of buying it in the long run.

I think the pic below gives the most accurate representation of what it looks like in person.
