757 in Brief

Yup, the Vicar is a real winner and definitely one of the standouts in the Benchmade 2015 line up. It quickly became one of my favorite knives. Like you said, stout, solid and smooth. Good size and it feels great in hand!

Glad your's finally arrived.

Congrats again!

Thanks, Pbcg! I am leaving town again for a couple of weeks and this will be the folder I take along. Seems like it could handle whatever. Really looking forward to spending some time with this one.

Congrats on your gold class! How does it compare to the blue class and which blade style do you prefer in use? Regardless the gold class really shines.
Congratulations! The Vicar is a great knife. I know you'll love it!

You won't regret picking up your 757. If you have user pics post them up!

Haven't had a good use to put it to yet but I will take it camping next week and get some pics

Here it is on a park ride today. Love this folder.

I would love that blade shape as an option on the regular mode.

Heck yeah. Gold class blade is sick.

Thanks!

As far as use I got the GC as a collectible not a user but the blade grinds are very impressive. Some great work by Shane Sibert!

Thanks again!

I'm sure you'll be happy with it's performance. That's one capable blade right there!

Have a great time on your trip!

The Gold Class seems severely lacking to me, mall ninja grind. Personal preference I suppose.

I love the term "mall ninja", it makes me laugh every time I see it.

Thanks for the laugh Skimo 😄

Took the 757 camping in Joshua Tree over the weekend.

There wasn't cause to push it hard at all; it was just in pocket for any/all cutting -as well as making its owner feel stoked all the time. Other than some dirt, wood shavings,... and cheese, it made it out unscathed. :D

Going to try and get out in the desert again before the end of the year and take some pictures of it doing stuff next time.

Jazub good to see you're still loving the 757. Is this the Joshua Tree from U2 fame?
I've taken off the green scales off my757 on the clip side. This makes it more pocket time before I decide to smooth out the aggressive G10. I had to use washers as spacers to fasten the clip in place b/c the screws were too long.

Algonquin, yeah, it's the same spot as the U2 "Joshua Tree" album cover. It is very beautiful high desert near Death Valley. Great to visit in the winter when it is cold and making a fire at night is practically required. Amazing clear skies look like you could reach out and grab a piece of the Milky Way. Summer temps can hover near 120 in the day. No bueno. Winter is where it's at

These pics don't do it justice at all but can at least give you a basic idea:

That last picture makes we want to go on a super long walk through there. :)

Man, that was just our campground (at sunrise). It was about 35 degrees and time for a morning campfire. :D
But, yeah, there are some amazing trails and hikes to do and loads of places to climb rocks and wander. You'd definitely have fun there.
