Hello,
I recently acquired a Boker USA (Congress) pocket knife. It was manufactured in 1976. I don't know much about Boker. Are Boker USA knives more collectable than the ones made in Germany? Were the blades made from the same famous German steel? THANKS!
Hi sconzo. Is your knife one of the bi-centennial commemorative knives? I think the knife was made in New Jersey when Boker USA was owned by WISS. Thus, I don't think the blades were German Steel. I can't answer whether they are more or less collectible then the German made Bokers. I suppose that is a matter of individual preference.
THANK YOU, smiling-knife, for the information. As far as I know, it is not a commemorative. It says "OLDE STAG" on the badge. I have an identical knife with "BIG JOHN PRIMBLE" stamped on its badge. Who is John Primble and is he a famous person?
