Correct. Also catalogs were prepared at least by the fall of the year before their effective date so they could be distributed to salesmen and dealers. And Sears, Belknap and other large buyers were always important test markets. Later Walmart of course.Good info, Michael; I suppose that would be true for most catalog items; they would go into stock before they appeared in the catalog. It is my impression that a lot of introductions went to Sears before they appeared as Schrade-branded.
