You guys never told me food was so damn cheap over here!

I just had the biggest (and nicest) steak I have ever had for $8!

Same thing back home would have cost me $32+.

Houston is nice. Walked into a Bass Pro Shop and spent the day there...

A Tracker for $20k!

I would pay $45k back home....

Thats it...

IM MOVIN HERE:thumbup:

$8 for a steak.....this wasn't at a strip club was it....I always stay away from the buffet at those places!

Welcome to Texas Gundy! Come on UP... ;) It is a HUGE State with a bit of something for everybody. If you like Houston, you would love Austin and San Antonio. Dallas is a bit metropolitan, but very nice also...

Have a great time while you are here... and remember....

If anyone gives you trouble... just tell them you know me!:D

Go back to Huston in July and let me know how you like it.;) You might be willing to pay $24,000 to get a flight out.

ROTFL!!!!!

We just did MEAT ON A STICK night last night at church. About 55 guys. Total for about 1/2 lb of steak on a stick, 1/2 lb of BBQ Chicken on a stick, chicken wings, associated tatersalad and such: $10 a head. That's it!

And we were GIVING food away. We refined it. Probably only need to spend about $8 a guy. That included dessert too!

We don't get to eat them big ugly white larvae in the Bush tho. So you've got that goin for you.

Gundy,
You gotta remember, in Texas cattle are considered a nuisance animal and they are everywhere!!! However they will put you under the jail for shootin' 'roos since you would have to be in a zoo to do it!!! :p

Or Texas de Brazil...

However, you're probably in the steak heart of the US there in TX. Hence the 8$ price tag. Eat that same steak in say, Miami, and it's 18$. Enjoy your trip here, and make sure you get lots of pics.

Btw...what did you mean by a 20k tracker?

...Btw...what did you mean by a 20k tracker?

My guess would be the $20,000 Tracker Bass Boat we all wish that our best buddy would buy since keeping and maintaining a boat for pleasure is like having a hole in the water to throw money into. It's nothing like those million $ racers having to putt along at 'no wake' speed through the creeks of Miami!

Ahhh...man, I thought he was talking about a Tom Brown Tracker and I figued maybe something had gotten lost in translation. Love your simile, though. They are fun, but not to own. :D

Yeh...THAT's funny to see. :D GentleBen's in-laws have one of those, and while it's a hell of a lot of fun, you can't rev those twin 350hp engines until you're WAY out of the intercontinental. Once you're out there, though, it's a LOT of fun to blast off through the waves. Being on the water is really one of the best ways to enjoy Miami.

Yep. Come to blade show and eat at Fogo's! Its pretty spectacular.

Fogo's is the shizzle! First time I ate there, my head was turning left and right at all the different meats. I couldn't turn my red light/green light card over quick enough!

I can get a good $8 steak in Cleveland,
but I would have to take it home and cook it myself:cool::cool:

Hey! We'd love to have you stay ... BUT ...

I'm pretty sure you'll go home. Oz is a wonderful place, too.
