Well, so to speak. He and I had a knife thingie going on that turned south. He was very gracious and gave me a complete refund for an unforeseen problem area...long before I could ask for it...
It's not often that we run into someone who has a better ethical code, and I would just like to thank him for being such a good guy.
It makes being here so much more enjoyable, when our fellows are basically super and so very honorable.

I just saw this and well, thanks Don! As I progress along in this hobby I continually learn something new with each conversation and transaction, not just in the knife hobby but in all areas of life. BladeForums does have a wide variety/diversification of members, we are all different but share the love of sharp instruments...

This time I learned;

1. not to rush because of a hurricane, be quick in your actions but always be mindful and protect the item for sale (in this case the knife)...
2. when rushed, do not take hastily BTE measurements with a micrometer, don't be lazy, get up and go look for the calipers, you'll do less damage that way! I inadvertently chipped the edge of a knife I sent to Don...
3. always admit your mistakes and take full responsibility, don't leave someone else hanging because of something you did or didn't do right...
4. while the majority of my posts are in the sales ads, I do lurk the other threads and now that my knife desires are much more focused (only took 2.5 years!), I will contribute more regularly to the everyday threads/posts... I love this place....
