8" Gyuto in 1095 and AEB-L (SOLD)

Full tang gyuto is hand-ground from 1095 high carbon steel.
The blade is differentially hardened, part of the hamon is visible in the third photo.
The handle features an asymmetrical shape for right-handed use.
The handle scales are cocobolo with brass pins.
All knife components are hand-finished.
The edge was taken to 6000 on a wet stone and then stropped.

Blade thickness at spine: .07 in.
Blade edge length: 8.1 in.
Tip to handle: 8.3 in.
Handle: 5.0 in.
Overall: 13.3 in.

This full tang gyuto is hand-ground from AEB-L stainless steel.
The blade features a distal taper.
The steel has been cryogenically tempered to increase its hardness for a keener edge.
The choil has been rounded for increased comfort.
The handle consists of black micarta liners and cocobolo with brass pins.
The edge was taken to 6000 on a wet stone and then stropped.
All knife components are hand-finished.

Blade thickness at spine: .09 in.
Blade edge length: 8.0 in.
Tip to handle: 8.3 in.
Handle: 5.12 in.
Overall: 13.4 in.
