What does one do to keep from going wackadoo while sitting in the woods for 8+ hours? Well, first you use your ESEE-6 to cut a small tree down, then you use your RAT Pack knife and carve out a nice walking stick.

I stripped the bark, trimmed all branches and knots, carved handle, rounded ends and shaved / scraped the entire thing to a fine finish with one knife, that, all kidding aside, could still shave the hair on the back of my hand. Not the whole edge, but from about mid-ship to point. The reset was still very sharp though. When I got home, it took exactly two swipes on the Sharpmaker on each side to bring it to shaving sharp again. I LOVE THIS KNIFE.

What amazed me was how comfortable the knife was the entire time. My hand did not get any hot spots or fatigue. I was also pleased with the chopping power of the 6.

Sorry for the sub-par photos, I only had a camera phone.

Why was I in the woods? Surveillance.

That's really damn good. I can't believe how straight and round you got that thing:eek:

That's a really nice looking walking stick.

I just picked up an izula, and I love the little beast. But, I've been seeing a lot of great pics of the ESEE 3 in use, and it is slowly making me want one. Looking at the somewhat detailed work (not fine, intricate stuff I know. But you still had to use some precision in your cuts), what you were able to pull off with yours makes me want one even more.

Talk about endurance!!

Nice work!:thumbup::thumbup:

I usually just grab a stick off the ground!:D

Surveillance huh?

*Goes to put pants back on*

Looks like those 8 hours were well spent for sure!

Hey don’t you have two of those? :D

I need to shoot my bow this weekend. I’m ready to go Ted Nugent on some pure venison backstraps.

Holy crap, that's a great looking waling stick! You have some serious patients to work on something like that for 8 hours straight. Nice!

I see you had some time to spend. Good thing you were working on sth, otherwise you'd go nuts or fall asleep
