After seeing Rolands lineup of this pattern, it made me want to go gather up all of mine, Anyone more lineups out there? I don't have any of these in peachseed, but I keep hoping to get one some day, and I want one of the 8OT in the original 1959 bone.

Good idea Thawk. Here's mine:

Anyone else? Let's see some others. I'm sure Waynorth could come up with an unstoppable lineup for us to to jones for.

thawk,

Now, that's what I call a parade of gems. Fantastic showing.

Thanks, for sharing them.

WOW! Nice knives from both of you! Besides the fact that my photo skills are non-existant, I can't come close to displays like those. But I will try to see if I can come up a with a suitable pic to post.

hey thawk,
great looking sets --- i really like the saber grind on the konkav. when you carry a 8 in your pocket you know when its missing without having to check. its a chunk of knife.

OK, when I got to digging, found I had more than I thought for this style. Pictures are poor, per my usual talents, and should have been taken as two sets instead of all together. I'm going to try to build a light box as described in another thread here on the forum, then have my girlfriend (photography is her hobby) take some better pics of a lot of my knives.

After taking that pic, I found one more I just got in. It's got the "HERITAGE" tang stamp XX'd out, and no shield, but I couldn't find a flaw on this beautiful knife. Red bone handles.

Roland, that's what I took it to mean. I included all 3 in mine, as well as the scrims. And Hal had at least one 881 and one 880 in his.

Yes, and I threw that out there probably because of the 8OT, but actually the 88 might have been more appropriate. The original Schrade Cut Co 8815 was probably the first example of the 4" premium stock with square bolsters. So that is the pattern I was referring to.

The knives you started me with all are 88x derivitives. Of mine, there is an 880, 881, 882, 8801, 885. The number doesn't fit all though, as I have an 883 with round bolsters and a punch blade.

Mainly, though, I just look for a reason to post pictures. Seeing knives is my favorite part of the forum.

Nice lineup Dave. I figured Roland you might need a wide angle lens. Throw in jack knives that ride the same frame.

When you start going through the collection you end up finding more than you thought, the two lower knives are on the same frame, Imperial Frontier models.

Very nice Russell. Nice knives, and nice picture.

I really like that treebark Uncle Henry lurking down on the end, and his neighbor to the west.

Thanks Hal! Thats one of my favorites also, from the Old Timer Classics Series OTC-80

I actually forgot about those. I also have the 89OT, and both the Cope and Skoal versions.

Stunning line up of "mints" there, Rusty.
my life just got busier; it'll be awhile before i can take pics to display mine.
but looking forward to it because it will be a needed refresher on what i do have, as i've lost track.

Great 8's guys! Russell, that's a fantastic line-up, I'll see what I can get together, but it won't be close to that!:thumbup:

You knew I couldn't resist, Hal:p!
Some very nice 8s posted here guys! They are no-nonsense knives, big and tough. Thanks for sharing them with us.
There are some close relations here in these groups as well as Schrades, i.e: Camillus and Ulster.
Note the 4-blade 4-line Camillus.
The last two are Schrade Cut Cos, a rare stainless over a standard carbon steel.

 Thanks Charlie!!!!! That's what I'm talking about!

Hard to pick the favorite, but the Hawbaker and the Keen Kutter in the second group do classify as unstoppable, and that 98G Ulster...

Awesome knives.

Very nice line up Charlie! the last two especially, the likes of those handles are not to be seen that often.
