MSRP is just that. Its a suggested price. Most dealers sell for less. There are exceptions like something very limited (0777) but for the most part its usually less than msrp.

Yeah, but your are forgetting ZT's MAP price policy. So if the real MSRP is 400$ KnifeCenter can't advertise with the price the're using right now. The right price should be 320$.

BTW I wonder why nobody is offering coupon codes for ZT knives by now.

Just checked the price at the dealer you were talking about. Something doesnt seem right its way to cheap.
 
They did screw up the price on the Spyderco S110V a while back. They sent out an email after everyone preordered and readjusted the price (up $70 or so). They were nice enough to wave shipping and throw in a free Spyderco Bug set for those who kept their preorders though!
 
You mean to tell me they still havent learned after they raised the S110v N5 on me two months ago?
 
Not here to argue one way or another, but is there anyone else taking preorders? I put in one because they are the only option - if I get one awesome, if not then I'll have to hunt around elsewhere. I emailed KershawGuy too but have yet to hear any response - hope he just put me down for one!
 
Just preordered mine. Idk what y'all are talking about. Usually everything I've pre-ordered from kc has arrives. Guess om just lucky.

Same here I messaged him immediately upon seeing the model. Him being quiet about it and not replying has me suspecting he's probably trying to work out a deal with ZT, hopefully I'll be up there on his list if he gets a batch :)

Not to sidetrack from thread but you two seem knowledgeable regarding KershawGuy and he seems pretty busy right now. For a preorder do you typically just need to email him and then wait it out? I've ordered from him several times but always for things that he already has on hand. I'd like to send business his way as he has done great by me and clearly by others as I've seen him go beyond what he needs to do to take care of people. Thanks for your help!

No way I can get it on BHQ, it will sell out in seconds. KC is a HUGE gamble, and not worth my time. GPK have had no contact from ZT about LE knives last I heard from them.

I really hope its not just KC and BHQ that get the initial batch of the 0801CF

Just chill. Look at the 0560cbcf, it was available almost everywhere and still is. And KC isn't a HUGE gable if you are pre-ordering now and not in 5 months. Their only problem is that they make the pre-order available for too long. That's just it.

The problem is the 0801CF is having the hype and popularity much more than the 0454, which makes me believe it will pull a 0777 and obtaining one will be difficult.
