There seem to be a lot of nib 801's coming up on the exchange. I wonder why?
If you have one, what would make you want to sell it? Maybe people just preordered multiples.
I have one on the way, post up some pics if you have one!

I'm not keen on the design, but so many on here love theirs that I picked one up to try out. Should be here today.

Probably all the fools on YouTube who called it ugly before they even got in one in hand. Oh wait...that was only one schmuck... Anyway, I'm not sure. Mine has been my carry piece since it got here.

Happens with almost every new knife regardless of maker. People buy it to try, they like it or they don't and try to recoup asap. I certainly wouldn't assume there was anything wrong with them.

That is indeed why I sold mine. It's a very nice knife well made and all that. I wanted to hold one and check it out. I kinda new I wasn't going to keep it when I bought it. That all smooth titanium handle just is not for me. I also have a very nice LionSpy that I don't use for the same reason. I work in hot and humid climates and my hands sweat easy. I need a sure grip and the 0801 and the LionSpy don't do that for me. I do have the carbon fiber one on preorder. That should be a keeper.

I don't have a decent knife shop anywhere near me so I end up having to buy almost all of my knives online. Sometimes the pics and the specs sound and look good on paper, but when knife is in hand it may not be what I am looking for. I sold my 801 because even though it was a well thought out and well executed design it just didn't do it for me. Simple as that... This buy and try methodology costs me hundreds of dollars a year, but what is a knife addict to do????

Move closer to a knife shop. Sure there will be some moving costs, and buying a house.. but think of the knife savings!

People trying to flip them for a profit before they become readily available.

The 0801 is actually bigger than I usually prefer and I don't even care. After carrying the passaround 0801 around for a couple of days I needed one for myself. I snagged one on the Exchange for a nice price. I've had 0801CF on preorder for a while now.

Not selling mine. It's in my ZT collection.

But I can say I have sold a lot of knives because they were never used. Most of them were still in the original packaging and never used. A lot of them were probably flipped open less than a dozen times.

If a new knife doesn't make it's way into the rotation in a couple weeks (or is a ZT - eh) it just goes on the exchange. I usually sell at a discount to move the knife (if it's nothing special) though....

Yes, it happens quite often, yet we only really notice when it's a piece thwt we really happen to like. Nothing new here at all.

Maybe I can get sloppy 13ths on the 801 passaround. That is, after everyone has had their way with the knife. :D
