Thought I'd share this one with you.....
This is my first attempt at making a laminate blade after reading Burt Foster's excellent thread on here a few weeks ago.
As the title says, it's an 80CrV2 carbon steel core laminated with 304 stainless. The guard is 410 stainless (thanks Marcus;)), handle is ebony and it has black and red fibre spacers.
It still needs sharpening and a final polish, but I don't do this until the sheath is done, as it saves all those cuts and scuffs.;)
Blade length is 3 5/8" overall length is 7 3/4"
Big thank you to Burt for taking time to answer my emails and help an amateur. Very much appreciated.

GREAT job!

That's some fine looking steel and a real nice piece of work.....

Very cool. I particularly like the spine shot.

With all the interest in the blade I almost missed how nice the "whole" knife is.
Nice work!

Cheers for all your comments.:D
I did a WIP whilst making this if anyone is interested?
Not exactly ABS mastersmith standard, but I'll post it if anyone wants a laugh...;)

I wish!!
Amazing what can be achieved when the kids don't come round to stay for a couple of weekends.;)
Knifemaking from fresh in the day, rather than doing it at night after a days 'proper' work also helps with productivity.
If only I could do it every day.....

Thanks for all the comments folks.
