Hello everyone, today I have a nice new puukko to offer you. This is one of the knives I sent to a competition in Finland in May. Although this knife did not win any awards, I did get 3rd place in the hunting knife series
The blade was forged from 80CrV2, heat treated to HRC 58, and has buffed bevels with a polished forged finish. The handle is made of curly birch that was cut across the grain, giving it a very unique look. The handle has no external fittings, as that was one of the requirements for its series, but there is a bronze internal fitting for a mechanical connection, as well as for a more prestigious look. The knife comes with a handcrafted two-color sheath that fits wonderfully well, and I think the colors between the sheath and knife handle compliment each other quite nicely.
Blade: .189" thick, .90" wide, 3-5/8" long
Handle: 4-1/4"
OAL: 7-7/8"
Price is $260 incl. shipping in the lower 48 or Canada. I will ship elsewhere if you cover the extra cost.
If you're interested, please post 'I'll take it' below and then PM me to arrange shipping and payment. Thanks for looking, and as always questions and comments are welcome.
Regards,
Fred
