Hi All,

This is just off the bench:

The first 85% (my new 'small' size) Hunter pattern in Aldo's 1084 and black G10.
Blade: 2.6", ~0.135 thick at the spine.
6.05" OAL
1/8" brass pins
Handle sanded to 360, blade to 1000.

This is a really nice EDC size. It is just the right dimensions to give exceptional control of the entire blade while still be compact and convenient to have around all the time.

I wanted this to be my first up for sale in the exchange, but don't have a maker's mark figured out yet.

love the shape, seems like it could really 'dig in' with the curvature..

nice work !!

I'm curious what RC numbers are you getting off of aldo's 1084?

Thanks, fellas. Wow, you're just hunting the forum this evening, eh? :)

The curve and reach are the great features of this knife - I spent months refining the drawing for this pattern before making the first one. The whole knife can be controlled securely in several dextrous grips while being neither cramped nor hyperextended. It's obviously a rather traditional style, but I've tuned it very specifically.

I wish I knew the RC numbers. We need to get our hands on a tester. I'm more confident we're close to theoretical numbers with the oven-treated blades than the others and it would be great to verify all three processes.

When cleaning up the 1084, it's soft through the decarb layer, then hardens up. The feel in the sandpaper is noticeable while polishing the bevels, as is the transition in the tang when mating the scales.

Very nice. I've seen a step-up in your finishing over the past little while, this one is especially nice!

Thanks, Wolffbite. My sanding protocols and handle contours have been steadily improving (sheath-squeezing too). The last half-dozen have really come together.
