8670m/L6 vs D2

My uncle has a bunch of 8670m barstock 2.5" w x 36" l x 3/16" thick. He used it to make parts for firearms. I've been looking at the specs. Does anyone here extensively use 8670m or L6? Is it harder on belts than d2? Seems bunch of UK guys use it.
 
John Greco used 8670 for years...liked it more than A2 or 5160 at around 55RC. I exchanged some email with him back in '09 and we talked about it. Shouldn't be any rougher on belts than D2. Where in 'Central' WA are you, SC?
