The 884 shows up in the 2004 Catalog as a "Police Utility Trainer", non-edged with a blunt point. I've seen them on Ebay where it was said that they could be sharpened for use as a real cutting knife.
 
The Factory Store in Post Falls has some. Retail is over $120 IIRC. They have light blue G10 scales. They are a training version of the Tarani Police knife (SB-882).
 
Not to correct you Colt6731 but the handles are/were made out of blue "TACCOM" textured glass reinforced nylon. Not G-10.. The older (first) version had a BOSS heat treated ATS 34 blunt unsharpened blade on it. The later ones had Buck's 420 steel with blunt unsharpened blades.
