Unfortunately I have to say 888knivesrus has shown me they are not professional's, and in fact will lie to you to get your business. I can elaborate more if anyone want's me too, but suffice it to say they no longer have my business and I do not recommend them to anyone.

Sincerely, MW

First of all, we have a specific forum, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, for this sort of criticism. Second, to have a newbie show up for what looks like the sole purpose of criticizing a long-time participant in our community, without giving any specifics, does not lend the criticism much credibility.

Well said.

Yaquina, just what kind of "lies" have been told to you?

I'm curious since I've ordered from 888knivesrus a couple of times and have received excellent service & speedy delivery from them. They're one of the good ones in my book.

Actually Mike Wheeler is correct. We made two mistakes with his order.

First he requested that we inspect his CAS Tactical Tanto in the notes on his order. We missed the note and the blade he received had defects.

Second we told Mike we would send out a replacement with a prepaid return label for the defective blade and did not do so.

To our defense we doubled our floorspace during this time and were re-arranging our inventory. I (DC Williams) was also moving my home at the same time. Such things are why we provide a toll free number for customers to contact us directly.

I left Mike a phone message, and sent him an email this morning to make sure he still has the defective knife. As soon as we receive his response we have an inspected good tactical tanto ready to ship to him today. I also told him in the email that we will include something extra for free to make up for our errors.

Just so you all know the freebie is not something cheap the freebie is a CRKT Rollock, blue, plain edge.

So anyway Mike I apologize personally for our mistakes and we are ready to ship your replacement and your free knife as soon as you contact us.

Sincerely,

DC Williams

Now, THAT'S a classy response to what could have developed into an ugly situation real fast. My hat's off to you.

Ok, Mike's new knife, a return label for the bad one, and a free CRKT Rollock are on the way to him via ups tracking number 1Z6747YA034599111 (this number will not work for another hour or so).

DC Williams,

I appreciate you doing what you are to 'make right' the mistakes in my order. I WILL be giving your company more business in the future and , although it has taken two months, I am greatful to the attention my problem has received in the last two days.

Sincerely, MW

So you come him and write an 'asbestos' post, slinging crap and when Danny shows the kind of class he is WELL KNOWN for here you now say you will do business with him.

I hope Danny does NOT do business with you. There are a ton of us who appreciate a well run business like 888knives and will always do business with Danny.

Instead of slinging crap, you should have called him on the phone and resolved this off-line.

Newbie:rolleyes:

Hey, Wolfmann, he'll be OK! :D He came here mad and didn't know the routine, but it looks like he learns fast. And I'm glad the knife situation is working out so well for him.

This may have started bad, but it has ended very well for 888knivesrus. If people read this thread they will get to know just how serious Danny and DC consider customer service to be.

All's well that ends well!!!

I hope he stays and finds BFC a nuce place to frequent;)

O.K., apparently although I am a serious knife collector my opinion is not considered important because I do not spend every waking moment posting messages on a knife forum. Although I spend thousands a year on knives / swords I have only ordered from 888knivesrus once before. I was clearly mistaken when I assumed those of you who are serious collectors wanted to know when problems were encountered with a dealer. I will refrain, as I have for years, from posting further messages for obvious reasons. I encountered problems with 888knivesrus, the problem has been cleared up, and I am done. Any further problems encountered by dealers will not be shared, nor will my apparently useless opinions.

Best of luck to all of you.

Sincerely, MW

Yaquina,

I'd like to welcome you to BFC.

You are welcome, and encouraged, to post here at anytime regarding your transactions with dealers and individuals. Good, Bad, or ugly, we want to hear about them. Details of the transaction is important, as well as documenting any contact you have had to resolve the issue prior to posting here.

We encourage contacting the vendor or individual directly to resolve your problem, and giving them a chance before you post.

As it stands, the problem was resolved, and thats what we like to see. 888KnivesRus has a great reputation here at BFC, and the above posters were merely defending that reputation. Please don't take it personally.

Enjoy the forums.

You did *NOT just post about a 'bad' transaction. You called them "liars", you added that you would not recommend them and painted a picture that just did not pan out.

GB&U should be reserved as a last resort after all communications fail to resolve the issue. Had you done this and then just posted the facts maybe fewer of us would have 'piled on'.

The outcome of course was as expected. 888Knives posted exactly what transpired and of course made the deal very sweet for you the consumer.

Had you called them on the phone..................

Welcome to BFC. Stay, enjoy a superb knife forum and learn

I wonder why? MW posted his bad experience, DC responded and the whole thread turned into great ad for 888knivesrus :)

David

PS: I am surprised I did not see your famous 2x4 in this thread
