89OT serrated vs. non-serrated

I was wondering what the difference was between the 89OT's with a serrated blade and those that are not serrated (other than the obvious)

When I first started collecting I went to a True Value who had all their schrades marked down and I noticed that they had one 89 with a serrated blade and one without. I figured what the heck since they were $15 a piece which was a steal in itself but I was also wondering if there was something special about the difference in blades.

Thanks,

Nope, no difference. I think they were all supposed to have serrated blades, but some don't. I have a serrated and non-serrated too. Perhaps factory errors?

I tried convincing myself that it could be a factory error but didnt think I could get that lucky. Thanks for the info

I don't know if you got "lucky" or not. I don't think the value is affected. And I have seen a few of them for sale on eBay, so they are more common than you might think. Many of them could be "end of days" knives; as Schrade closed they were assembling knives from all sorts of mis-matched parts just to get rid of the stuff.
