I wanted to throw out something I have been working on (obviously I didn't let Beth out of her cage from sewing Footlongs and J. Holmes!). The prototype is a roughed out 8 incher (OAL 9") we are fondly calling the "Johnson". Not until all your previous orders have been delivered (I PROMISE) but soon! Love to hear what you think. We have had a lot of requests in this size range. So far just a shortened Footlong with a big single pouch. A "Slim" version may also be available for the 1 1/2" blades, but nothing yet.

Thanks again for all of your kind words and support. We meet new people everyday - and if we haven't met you what are you waiting for?

Get Lost!

Dude that looks AWESOME and I would order one (if not more) I a heartbeat! Sheaths in that size are hard to find that can take the width of a Busse.

Sorry for the Q, but do you know off hand if it will take a NMSFNO?

exactly why I would be interested in one as well

I like it, I want one or two, or three! Need to find out how many Regulators I have without pants.

Please fit the Regulator!

7.5 inchs
.333 thick

Maybe with some modding?

The sheath will ride too high and the handle will jab the user in the side / love handle region.

The handle height will also interfere with many waist belts on backpacks.

I would prefer a more conventional sheath where the handle rides even with the top of my belt.

Charlie,
Glad you listened to the last two sentences of my email . . :) Thanks again to you and Beth for the thoughts for Sally, greatly appreciated.

Nice! Any possibility for a drop leg option?

This is what I was wandering as well... A drop leg option would make
them damn near perfect IMO.... for my needs anyway..

If not,I'm still in for a couple 8's..! I'll just have to rig up my own Drop Leg thingy....... I'm sure it would be much better made by you two though....:o

I think a drop leg would put you back into the market for a Spec Ops universal sheath. I like the compact overall package of the prototype 8 sheath. It would also make mounting onto a pack easier, since you wouldn't have the drop to accommodate.

I would only like to see some sort of strap to secure the knife in the sheath.

That's why I said "option"...

Looks great. Build it and they will buy it. Bring it:) Now how about something to accommodate my MOAB, she is a user you know:D
