Beth,, you and Charlie just keep knocking it out of the park (Kind of like the Giants lately :) ),, I am sure this one will be no different, if it is anything like the 2 amazing Footlongs (yes I am sooo digging my "Multicam" thanks soo much!) you guys shipped me.:D:D:D

I would love a detachable leg drop as well, maybe attaching similar to the retention on the Footlong,,or using the current belt loops and integrating the leg strap, and riser to the waistbelt??

Can't wait to see what y'all come up with :thumbup::thumbup:
 
Okay I am now officially a convert. My entire life I really never got the whole "Drop Leg" thing. It looked cool but... We threw this together and I haven't taken it off. Your input was right on the mark. We now have a sheath that allows both "Hi & Lo" carry plus Molle and a retention device. Did I mention still enough room on the insert for 25 yards of paracord or other wrappables. Plus a 6 inch pocket for your essentials. My modeling skills may have something to be desired but we hope you are pleased with the sheath. Sorry for the low quality pics Beth already left with the camera (these are from my phone). The Becker BK-2 in the pic is for handle ref only.

I was sold on it anyway since I have two of your foot-longs, but this
is EXACTLY the "option" I was talkin about... Giving it the option to ride
Hi OR Low adds immensely to an already awesome system...

I don't even feel right calling it just a sheath now.. I feel like I need to
throw "system" in there somewhere... :D

For the drop leg model I recommend you move the snap on the handle of the blade as close to the rest of the sheath as possible.

When you wear a sheath like this and use the leg tie down you want the handle to be able to flex away from your body as much as possible. With the snap where it is the leg strap will fight against the snap retention when one is shooting / moving / communicating and this is not the preferred method.

Great job Charlie!!!
I like the drop leg option.
I also agree with Stanly White about the handle retention strap needing to be moved closer to the sheath body.
Fantastic design!!!!!
