Start off with a pocket knife.....

Swell center coke bottle type jack by John Lloyd. This one has a warncliffe blade. Thunderstrike Kevlar handle scales,ss inlaid & pinned,engraved acorn shield. SS bolster is nicely beveled in the front. SS pins & mill relieved liners. Blade centers closed,spring is flush in all half stop positions. Pull is a 6. Excellent fit & finish, and , walk 'n' talk. Hollow ground blade with satin finish,drawn swedge & crescent pull. Ground thin,razor like slicer. Blade & spring are 52100 carbon. This carbon steel takes a wicked edge easily & stays sharp.
Blade is "pinchable" Closed size 3-5/8" , opened up it is 6.5". Blade is 2-3/4" with 2.5" of cutting edge.

This is a knife I did from a blade made by Nick Wheeler. It is 3/32" thick 1080 carbon with a flat grind. An as ground working finish. Rc is 62-63.
OAL is 6" with a 2.5" blade,2.25" of cutting edge. India Sambar stag. 1/8" nickel pins & nickel lanyard tube. In pocket loop less sheath by Ray
