Here is a 9" S35VN Chef's knife with a slimmer profile than I usually do, at just over 1.5" tall at the heel. I took this blade very thin pre-sharpening. Like a bonehead I forgot to put the caliper on it, but I would say it was 0.003-0.004", took just one pass at 180 grit to bring it to a burr. It is 0.1" at the widest point of the spine, with full distal taper and a tapered tang. All that adds up to mean this is a light, super thin, absolutely wicked slicer. Heat treatment done by Peters, to 60 HRC. Blade is hand finished to 600 grit satin. The handle is stabilized curly eucalyptus, with two brass corbys and my mosaic pin, with G10 liners against the tang. The saya is bubinga. $450 shipped, first "I'll take it" claims priority. wheelerknifeworks@gmail.com
