K&G sells a machined 9" disc.
It's $65.00.
(520) 537-8877 and they're on the web but I can't remember the exact URL at the moment.
There are a lot of places that sell cheaper ones, but the ones I've seen weren't machined.

I keep finding 8" ones for around $15.
But 9" makes alot more sense to me. I do think $65 is a little high even though it appears to be top of the line
If anyone has seen one for less I would appreciate some input.

I would think that an 8 inch disk would make sense so it would be possible to use a standard 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of sandpaper and 3M adhesive. Maybe someone else knows better.

By all means try that 8" disc if you can get it for $15 and it's something of quality.
I have a 12" disc that requires 12" discs (go figure...) but with my 9" I can just use a standard 9x11 sheet and 3M feathering spray to adhere the paper to the disc. I use a pair of 99cent Harbor Freight scissors (or an Xacto knife) to trim off the excess and viola!
An 8" would just leave you with a little extra off-cut.
