The traditional forum's knife has become, well a tradition, the anticipation of waiting for the knife to arrive always started with the idea, the question at the very beginning was what kind of knife do we want? Something different of course, something unique, something that was a consensus of the members. I think we've managed to maintain that every year so far.

We've had some rough years coming to that consensus at times but overall I think we've gotten close every year. I think each year's knife benefited from the process and the evolution of the current knife is a direct reflection of those lessons learned.

I want to thank everyone whose ever been involved since the inception of the Traditional Forum knife and the members who have supported our community by buying that years knife. Thank You everyone.

For the nay sayers, the ones who didn't get that years knife these pics are for you, so you can see what you've missed, for the ones who through no fault of your own missed out on a particular years knife, these are for you.

Mostly though as a family picture of all the knives together these pics are for reference of the complete set so far.

First the art work which has only gotten better every year starting with the 2006 Canal Street Cutlery Ring Opener on the left through to the 2014 GEC Stag Jack on the right.

2006 Canal Street Cutlery Ring Opener in Burnt Stag, 2007 Canal Street Cutlery Canittler in Mammoth, 2008 Northwoods Medium Stockman in Burnt Stag, 2009 Queen/Schatt Morgan Barlow in Stag, 2010 Queen Moose in Ebony, 2011 GEC EO Swell End Jack in Jigged Bone, 2012 GEC Wharncliffe Trapper in Jigged Bone, 2013 GEC Congress Jack in White Micarta, 2014 GEC Single Blade Swell End Jack in Stag.

Thank you for going to the trouble of doing this and I enjoyed seeing the complete set.:)

Great collection man. I've been lurking for a while and just wanted to say you guys are great and this is definitely one of the best corners of this whole site. I would really enjoy to be a little part of it. I hope to get in on the 2015 forum knife. In fact the current 77 Barlow SFO will be my first GEC or Barlow and I am looking forward to getting it in my hand more than anything else in recent memory.

I've been bit of a - not a collector necessarily- but a knife user in search of the tools that work best and appeal most for me. I've gone through many primarily utility/tactical, only held on to a small few, and have been limited in my interactions with traditionals to case knives. But this specific forum has really opened my eyes and I want to thank you guys.

Ted,
GREAT PHOTOS, GREAT KNIVES, and You're right, GREAT ARTWORK on the boxes and tubes.
Thank You for sharing with Us.

Thanks for putting this together. I have the last seven. I think it's going to be very hard to come up with the first two though. But in this hobby the hunt is most of the fun anyway isn't it!?

Good Stuff! Thanks for sharing, it's great to see all of them together. Congrats on a fine collection:thumbup:

Lovely collection, I wish I could have been part of the forum for that long! I forgot how many years stag has been the handle of choice, even more than bone!

I have the 2007 on; excepting the 2011 EO which came out while I was deployed. Gonna have to hunt that down.

Thank you Ted---fantastic collection!!! I hope you and your wife are in better health my friend? You deserve to feel well:thumbup:

Great collection Ted!! It is nice to see them with the original packaging.......thanks for sharing.

Ted, do you have a favorite?

That's great to see them together.

I have one of the 2006 Ring Knives and the 2014 knife. The 2006 stag is lighter now than when these photos were taken - I polished some of the burn discoloration away. I love stag but I'm not as big a fan of torched / burnt stag.

The 2006 has been a user; carried in a soft leather slip. The 2014 will also get used - waiting on a slip from Gunstock Jack then it will go into the pocket as the occasion warrants.

Lovely to see 'em all together. One big happy family. haha but as we ALL know most families have a skeleton in the closet.
Someone who is frowned upon ,scorned ,envied or just plain unlikeable.
Perhaps they are a criminal of some sort.
Maybe they won the lottery and now can't help themselves big noting with all the toys.
Or maybe there's a meako (perish the thought) who will be dragged against his will to such a do ,get plastered and tell them exactly what everyone else thinks of them but are too polite or scared to say to their face.
Digression (as many of you know) is my middle name so here's the thing .
Out of the forum knives which one are you? and which is the black sheep?

I started in 2010 and will happily get as many as I can into the future.
sorry to kind of hijack the thread.:p

oops nearly forgot-I'd have to say I'm the 2012 and the black sheep is the 2013 why because it's not a knife I would normally go for (just me) and the process was OTT which almost resulted in no knife this year. I call it Percival.
I am The 2012 trapper is functional, tough and gorgeous on the other hand. The 2011 is my best mate.

Best of luck with the hunt:thumbup: the '11 is my particular favourite so far, still waiting for Europe's first '14....

sceva You scooped a very fine example of the '14 by the look of it!

meako Are you suggesting that one member of the family may be dysfunctional?:D:D I could hazard a guess, but I won't!

I have 08, 10, 11, 13 and 14 eagerly anticipated.

If there is another FK we need a pure stainless one for a change, just sayin:cool:

Really nice collection, great group shot - I've never seen a picture of the Barlow before. OH
