This little yellowjacket is a first prototype of a slight variation on my normal hunter profile.
I liked the 90% scale so much on Thrillbilly's knife that I had to have one at the same size.

Steel is 1/8" O1 with a high flat grind, reasonably thin before the edge. It notches REALLY well.
Blade is 2.8" long @ 1000grit
OAL is 6.4"
Scales are black/yellow G10.

The scales came thinner than I'd expected, and as a result the handle profile is flatter than I wanted. However, it's still a handy little knife, and compact. I left the little matching yellow patches in the middle for kicks - maybe they'll get sanded off later.

After some frustrations with the edge on another blade, it was a real pleasure to put a wicked edge on this one really fast.

Thanks for looking.

I really like the 90% size! Great job on this one.

Thanks guy,s glad you like it.

Fishon, I'm in your neck of the woods this weekend for the Josh.
I do all my drawings at a '100%' size, so the handles are all the same size at 100%. Then I scale up and down as appropriate. This knife would have a 3" blade at 100%, but is 10% smaller than a 'full-size'. 115% is about the largest practical up-scaling the way I work.

Im pretty new to the knife world. Thanks for the explanation daize. Now what exactly is "the josh"?

Very nice.

I actually prefer thinner scales; they make the knife fit better in your pocket.

I like how the scales turned out. I think I would have a hard time not EDC'ing that one.
