908 Striker II vs. 580-2 Barrage

I just ordered a new ZT 0562 G-10, not anodized, as I felt that an anodized finish would probably just wear off. I paid what I believe to be a fairly good price for a N.I.B. 0562 ($160.00). I'm excited to get the knife, but I have to wait until Friday, when it's scheduled to be delivered.

Next Month, maybe I'll get the 908 Stryker II or the 580-2 Barrage!

Thanks to all for the advice and suggestions.

Thanks Joe. I'll post some photos when I get it customized to my liking, which will likely take some time.

Any suggestions on where to find sculpted, custom G-10 or Micarta scales?

I've used Steve Ketchen and he is fantastic! Great guy to work with! He's done 3 for me. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Disappointed: Received the ZT 0560 today. The item was listed as new but was clearly used. The blade has several (4) small nicks and a rolled edge. The ZT box was badly damaged and missing the bubble wrap (& foam insert?). The shipping packaging was terrible and the knife has slipped out of the box and was loose in the too large envelope (& had punched a hole in the side of the envelope - I'm surprised it wasn't lost). + the pamphlet was all scratched up. Sure I could have sharpened the blade properly and overlooked the damaged box/pamphlet, but the knife was listed as new - I didn't want, nor did I order a used/damaged knife. Luckily, the seller agreed to accept the return and I must now find another for a good price.

The good news is that I really liked the knife, which was much more ergonomic that I thought it would be, it's an awesome blade. It fits nicely in hand, carried in my front right pocket well (barely noticeable) and the blade had a very nice grind in my opinion - much less of a brute than I thought it would be as all the reviews I read stated that the blade was thick behind the edge and not a good slicer, an opinion I disagree with based on the blade geometry, but I haven't used it yet either.

I look forward to getting a good one! Then I'll be off to get a 908 Stryker II, a 484 Nakamura or possibly a 580-2 Barrage!

Edit: found & ordered another ZT 0562 - for only 8 bucks more.
