I committed to buy a 311 and sheath from ya bro. Trying to enter you pp addy into my pp acct. and it was being rejected for some reason. Tried it again this a.m. very early a.m. and same thing. You emailed saying you hadn't heard from me in 4 hours and if I still wanted it. I go to bed early and get up early due to my job. So you sold the knife out from under me in 4 hours. Beats me but that time frame seems a bit unreasonable to me. Lesson learned here for sure. :thumbdn:

I posted I'll take it on a knife Saturday night at quarter of 11. At 11 I went to bed I woke up to find out that he had sold it because I didnt pay him instantly. There are some sketcky cats on this site. Guy musta had a crack deal going...

There are sketchy people anywhere you go and anywhere you look these days. There are a lot of inexperienced sellers, there is little doubt about it. Just scroll through the for sale sections there are some ads that make you want to say "WTF?" out loud.
I'm not dismissing your reasons for wondering what happened, but it simply looks like the seller moved onto the next person in line. They can and will do that, there are a lot of tire kickers on here too. In any case, it's discouraging.

I'd be willing to bet there will be another 311 for less up on exchange real soon. Do get where your coming from, but also understand needing instant $. Many times when I'm selling it's cause I need cash asap so if someone can't pay soon, gotta go with next in line. Have waited days/week for payments in some cases also. Have had people hold things for me and slao pass on me cause couldn't pay right away. Different circumstances for different situations. There are plenty of buyers that just never get back to you after committing to buy either. I've never felt like retaliating about missing out on a deal, it's just the way things go, there are to many variables and not worth the time to pine about.

With buyers and sellers across the country and around the world, it seems unreasonable not to give a buyer some 12 hours to reconnect. Even I have to sleep sometimes. There are sellers who specify immediate payment and I will push to meet their schedule.

I sent you 2 emails and even posted in my for sale thread, but you failed to answer or let me know you wanted the knife or not. You had ZERO communications until this morning. There were others interested in the knife. When you failed to communicate back to me, I moved on to the next buyer. You are what I consider a tire kicker....

This is a straight up lie. You bought that CF PM2 from me and went to take a dremel to your pocket clip, slipped and scratched it up. THEN you proceeded to PM me back saying it had a stripped screw. And this was AFTER the fact that you bought, I shipped, you received, we both left feedback for a positive transaction. I can't be held liable if you take a Dremel to your brand new pocket knife.

Anyone that can do any kind of digging will see what happened here. I still have all the PMs too.

Come on guys, COMMUNICATION GOES A LONG WAY! Don't say " I'll take it " and then expect me to wait until the next day to hear any kind of communication from you!

91bravo, are you saying this buyer did the dremel thing on a previous sale and you were going to sell to him AGAIN? If so, I sure don't get it.

No, MyCough bought the knife, unlike what he said above. He left me feedback, I left him feedback, both positive indicating he was happy with it. 2 days later he PM'd me saying that there was a stripped screw in it, but he had taken a dremel to slot it out, but slipped and damaged the pocket clip. I mean, what does he expect for me to do after he has damaged the knife on account of his own mishap?

WOW! This is like the who's on first routine. :p As Davy Crockett would say, I'm flummoxed. Good luck to all.

Mycough's post had nothing to do with the OP. Mycough just wanted to come in and lie, saying I sold the knife out from under him.

Here's my sale thread where he bought it:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1428998-Kw-cf-m4-pm2?p=16473788#post16473788

I mean, he left me feedback stating he was happy with the purchase and even asked if I had any more M4 blades to sell to let him know....

Look if I say I'll take something 99.9% of the time I take it. Very very few times have I left a seller hanging, and never without getting back in a timely manner although I can't say that for sure 100% either, there are exceptions but I can't think of any. 4 hours ain't squat, not answering your email cause I wasn't on line is, well don't know what it is but doesn't seem like the right thing to me. I was in bed at around 2000 hrs. Got up at 0330 hours. Read your emails and was trying to fund the purchase but like I said PP was having a problem with the email source. I would have figured it out til I looked at the thread again. As for communication you asked me 4 hours later if I wanted the knife, I was in the rack.

Look at my f.b. here both buying and selling, speaks for itself. As for instant money, it takes PP about 3 days to xfer funds. I also have near 700 transactions buying and selling on the bay with 0 negative f.b. 0 as in zero. I'm moving on but I have a good memory. I just don't think it is cool to do what you did.

91bravo is probably the most honest guy you'll ever deal with. Look over on the Esee forum. He's a team moderator with probably the highest feedback you could ever give someone. I personally have made probably 20+ transactions with him and was perfect. He doesn't screw people. Sounds like a problem with the OP and his paypal to me.

That's fine and dandy, I have over 100 positive feedbacks on Archerytalk, ESEE forums, Ebay and here as well, but no timely communications to me means that you move on to the next buyer. You even acknowledged that you saw my post in the thread, yet you STILL failed to communicate with me whether you still wanted the knife or not...... To me, I don't think that it's cool to say " I'll take it " in a for sale thread and not follow up with the seller what your plans are or when you plan to pay....

I sell here , I wait 24 hours before moving on and always ask for back ups while waiting . Never had to move on .

Im going to have to agree with you 91bravo, is an awesome guy. As for this whole ordeal in my opinion you should have emailed him to let him know that pp wasn't working and that you where going to head to bed. Then you should have asked him to hold it, till the morning. In my opinion 4 hours was more then enough time to wait with out hearing back from someone.

But, like i said this is all my opinion.

I am not sure what exactly happened here but I have purchased numerous items from 91bravo over the years. I have found that his items tend to sell fairly quickly because the buyers who have dealt with him know that he has pretty high standards. Items are shipped quickly, blades are very well maintained with precise edges, and he is a straight shooter regarding quality.

What don't you guys understand? I was asleep at 8 pm, up at 3:30 am to get ready for work at 5. Tried funding the purchase when I awoke. PP would not acknowledge the cut and paste I was doing with the email address he supplied. I would have figured it out I think it was after 5pm 09/28/16 when I said I would take it, 3 hours later sleeping. Woke up about 7.5hrs later, came down made coffee, looked at his PP email, tried funding the purchase, then looked again at my email and saw his second email and then looked at the thread again where he sold it cause he didn't hear from me in 4 hours. I commited at 5:50 or so to the knife, he emailed at like 6:10 or so but I was off line, he emailed again 9:30 and also posted in the thread that he hadn't heard from me and sold the knife. I am glad I didn't fund the purchase this a.m. Might be serendipitous after all.

Here is the email I sent at 4:00 a.m. this morning

Hello, been trying to send the funds but PP isn't taking your email address. It
keeps telling me to enter a valid email address. Any help with it is
appreciated. I know its working cause I sent funds for a Crawford folder on Mon.

Just saying, like you said you had 3 hours before you went to sleep. You could have emailed him to let him know that pp wasn't working. It only takes about one minute to email someone.

Edit: Im not trying to argue with you just pointing out things.

It looks like he did try. Probably a typo when the seller gave his paypal address.
