940-1701 fake?

Found a 940-1701 for sell and the blade has unusual markings. Is it a fake? If it is someone is making fake 940-1701s now. I’m asking this because the one I bought from the dealer has the blade steel next to the thumb stud and doesn’t have the Benchmade.com/pat on the blade.

Looks fine to me. That one is more than likely from the first batch. Benchmade removed the benchmade.com/pat engraving after the patent expired, which was within the past two years (I don't remember exactly when and don't feel like looking it up).

Don't worry about the "CPM-20CV" engraving either. Benchmade is always switching up engraving, both font and location on the blade. I've seen so many configurations of steel markings.
