940 Osborne in D2?

Is this correct? Cabelas is selling a BM pen/940 combo for some ridiculous price, and the 940 (w/ blue handle) has a D2 blade according to the description. I'd include the link but I don't want to be hit with a deal spotting infraction.

Anyway, I've never heard of this knife being offered in D2, nor can I find it on BM's website.

Can anybody confirm that this is correct? And if it is, would it be D2 tool steel or CPM D2?

I've seen pics and descriptions on the bay, so I think it is legit. You could always email BM and ask
 
You can get the same knife from other internet vendor sites that specialize in Benchmade. Yes it looks like D2. I have a limited run 940 in d2 with a black handle.
 
Yes it is legit. BM dose LOTS of runs in different colors/steels with the 94X series.

I think that it is stright D2.
 
Just to second what everyone is saying, this is real. I believe knifeworks offers/offered the same thing.
