940 Picture Thread: Show us those 940s!!

I highly recommend one I really liked it. Unfortunately it was sold to buy another knife but not because I didn’t like it . It really is a classic and for good reason . Especially that dealer exclusive 👍🏻
Thanks for the feedback, I'm looking forward to its arrival on monday!

I love the 940, but some of them come from the factory with a poorly formed sharpening choil that does not clear the plunge grind. A subset of those, like mine shown below, come with a corresponding recurve from the factory. I extended the sharpening choil on this knife using a chainsaw sharpening bit in my dremel tool. I began the work using the dremel, but completed the shape using the bits by hand. Then I finished with a ceramic rod. I'm no blade smith, but I think it looks good. It also feels good knowing that I rescued the knife and gave it a sharpening future.

Here's my new 940 dated 9/21/21. Looks like they solved the choil problem.

S Sibyrnes That one is much better than mine was. Hard to tell from that picture but it looks like the heel of that edge might still creep ever so slightly onto the plunge grind. Could just be the light. Either way, shouldn't be too hard to maintain that knife.

Cheers
