999th post giveaway-WINNER ANNOUNCED!!!

Thanks again to Sitflyer for his generous giveaway!

The medium stockman arrived yesterday, and it's wonderful. Wow. As he mentioned, the blades are good and sharp; I inaugurated it by doing some more rounding up on the ball of my first ball-and-cage.

A medium stockman with a tiny (but rapidly growing) Bevel:

This is the first stockman I've ever held, and I really like it! I was immediately surprised and pleased with how well it fits in my hand, no matter which blade is out for use. The combination of the frame's slight swing (is this considered "serpentine"?) and the smoothness and shape of the back of each blade give it a very comfortable grip.

"First" is a continuing theme: this is my first knife with 1) three blades, including 2) a spey blade (, except-- I can already see the size and shape of this one make it conducive to whittling and other non-nuttin' cutting tasks) 3) red scales.

Such a fine piece. There just might be something to this Stockman business. ;-)

Thanks again to Sitflyer, and to all of you who make this such a great place.
