I liked my kershaw's untill I got a new leek a/o. In this case a/o means use 2 hands to force the blade open. Pissed? I could eat 16 penny nails and s*** a barb wire fence. I turned the little torx screw but nothing happened.
Does anybody know how to fix this junk. Just another reason I dont like assisted open crap. Give me a good flipper any day. I basicly bought it because it has a d2 steel blade. I bought it from a moron "Allen Anderson" on ebay calling it a blem, blem like in it may have a scratch... not disfunctionable.Yes I jumped dead in his ass for sending me a knife that has to be forced open . How do ya fix it???

Step one: calm down.
Step two: loosen pivot screw.
Step three: If loosening pivot did nothing loosen frame screws.
Step four: is still nothing you could try disassembling and cleaning, then use some lube.
Step five: if still nothing you could always send it in to be fixed.

I don't know, possibly send it in to Kershaw to take care of it? I know, it's a wild and crazy idea.

First of all, your language is inappropriate.

Second, evaluations of the quality of the knife and the character of the seller belong in the FEEDBACK forum.

Third, you seem to have unloaded your frustration on him rather than on insisting he reimburse you for a knife worse than merely a blem. Who knows? Properly approached, he might have.

Fourth, I will leave it all here anyway, hoping some kind soul will get past your distatsteful rhetoric to tell you that contacting Kershaw might get you some satisfaction.

You ummm, release the tip safety?

Watch your future posts.

I should add, if you buy factory 2nd's off auction sites from sellers you don't know, they will come with risk. There is no warranty on these btw. Take Esav's advice if it doesn't work out, and return it to the seller.

Thanks for your indepth assumption on things I didnt say. If my colorful metafores are to strong, then dont read em. All due respect, but you allways come off as so self rightious. Next time I need preaching to Ill call my mother.
My origional question was how to fix the knife. Personally I dont need fixing, but the moron that sent me a broken knife does, talk to him him about his morals. Thanks anyway rabi.

Something tells me your stay here will be a short one.

Thank you for stating the obvious. My question was "How do you fix the knife?"

You might wanna check yourself. Sassing a mod will get you thrown out the door on your face. Lighten up, exercise some tact, and quit being so abrasive.

We would love to help you, but no one here will tolerate your current attitude.

You're an ass.

I bet you're a hoot at parties. You probably have the blade lock engaged and are too dense to notice it. Do you also have a problem opening doors with push/pull signs on them?

My post was how to fix it. But apparently your just looking to beat up on some one. Good luck.

Getting beyond any abrasive comments made by folks in this thread, I've got a wee suggestion.

You say you "turned the torx screw and nothing happened." This hints at the possibility that the other side of the screw was rotating and not letting the pivot loosen. To solve this problem, with the knife open (yes, two hands at the moment), put the edge on a cutting board with a firm pressure on the spine of the handle, as if you're trying to push cut through the cutting board. At this point, try loosening the pivot again.

If the simple loosening of the pivot does not work, you may have to take the knife apart to see what the issues are. They're pretty simple, and each time you take an AO knife apart, it gets easier.

People don't respond well to negative responses, on both sides of the issue..

Have you tried this?

Step one: calm down.
Step two: loosen pivot screw.
Step three: If loosening pivot did nothing loosen frame screws.

Also Kodiak try to watch the language, this isn't in W&C or the cove, even tough it seems to be a valid observation.

My post was how to fix it.

Lemme paraphrase your post so you can see what I see:

Issue
Sarcasm
Anger
More anger
Tried a fix, but didnt tell us the results
Request for help with insults about product
Insult the product and design
Info about a seller and insults that arent relevant to your knife troubles
Threats to the seller
Help me

Here's how to get help without coming off like a peen:

I have a Leek that takes two hands to open. Ive tried to fix it and Im frustrated. I turned the pivot screw and that didn't help. Any ideas guys? Any advice would be appreciated.

To which we would respond:

Make sure that the back side of the pivot isnt spinning as you adjust the pivot, if it is, you can put some tape under the clip to make sure it wont spin as you adjust the pivot. Try that and let us know what happens.

He lost all credibility when he called Mr. Anderson a moron. I know him, and have dealt with him many times. He and his family are stand-up people.

Had the OP not come in here like a jerk, I would bet his problems could have been quickly resolved to his satisfaction.
