A 4 day torture test for my new tom brown tracker.

This week end I chopped down 4 4'' trees, junked them up and split them with my tracker pretty easily too.It only took a couple of mins each tree.

The tracker I was wondering what you guys use for SHARPEN this knife?

The original Victor Tool Co. version of the knife was first issued to a variety of units during WWII. It was also refered to as the LC-14-B. It was a signals/survival tool which came in a zippered canvas sheath, which also included a round sharpening stone, and three small booklets (Care Use and Sharpening of Knife, Fighting with USA Knife LC-14-B, & Living in the Jungle with US Army knife LC-14-B).

The official description for the knife read (in part):

"With three cutting edges, it combines - all in one- axe, machete, brush hook, spade, and fighting knife."

I have also purchased a TOPS tracker and I'm having a difficult time sharpenning it. Any suggestions?

i have a woodsmans pal, and after some reprofiloeing the edge, it has done apretty good all around job of wod lot managment, if i had this in a survival situation i would manage ot get by, it does a bunch of jobs, and is a sturdy tool, i have not babied mine, and have batonned it chopped with it, and in general beat it as hard as i could and as long as i could, i have even parted a 10 inch log with it.
