A backroads wilderness hotspring adventure!

been a few years since I took the drive up the east side of Harrison.

nice pics

Next time bring a pack rod......the salmon fry are hatching out this time of year and the big trout come out of the deeps to the feeder creeks etc. They herd the fry like salmon with herring balls!!! Silver and red muddlers etc for flies and bright small spoons/spinners with a flash of red/orange.

Sea run cutties as well as big residents plus bull trout/rainbows too.

I was out in the woods again last weekend. This time I brought my better camera too. Once I sort through and edit the photos I'll be doing another trip report!

Here is a shot of my coho in its kydex sheath on my belt. I carried this knife for four days straight on my belt; part of that time I was carrying an 80L pack, I didn't ever feel the knife or find it uncomfortable

I never did do the trek to Sloquet when I lived in Van but moved back into the Nelson area where natural hotsprings are very abundant and am very lucky to have an adventurous girl to explore them with too. Great story time and pictures to go with it!

My next knife purchase I told myself I want to support a fellow Canadian and I'm the market for a good fixed blade these days... :D

That sounds pretty sweet! I'll have to check out some of those springs when I'm around nelson someday.

I may be able to help you with your search for a fixed blade ;) let me know if you have any questions about our knives.

cheers,
mike
