After sending some pictures of these to a member I thought I might post them for others also. The hinge is part of a factory Bader acc stand. I bought my Bader 3 used and it came with it. Very handy at times.

The tool rest socket is made of 3 ea 3/8” X 3” X 6” pieces and 6 ea 5/8” X 6” pieces of steel. The bolts are spaced so as to form a 1 1/4” X 1 1/4” socket. It takes an 1 1/4 square bar with no issue. No welding just drilling. I can’t remember why one of my 5/8 pieces is short, there doesn’t seem to be any reason. Maybe I miss drilled it. The goldish bolt is to tighten on the tool arm. No reason for it to be grade 8 it's just what I had. Jess

thanks for the photos, I love grinder porn

Is the frame of the bader cast in aluminium or steel ?

The Bader frame is cast Aluminum but the hinge part is steel. Jess

Whewwwwwwwwwwwwww

I started to sweat (in a good way) when I saw these pics. I really want to mod my Bader so it can go horizontal soon, adding the receivers would be a good mod too. I am going to figure out what metal I need to do the hinge and a more adjustable stand (maybe 4" square tube welded to a 1" plate base that'll bolt to the 1/2" base I have now) and get it ordered, so I can get this project done before my hip surgery in July. Then I'll be able to sneak some shop time in while I'm healing up but not fully mobile. I'll be able to grind comfortably sitting down. Learning to weld has given me new appreciation for getting comfortable (if possible) while doing something that requires concentration. You don't wear down nearly as fast as when you're contorted and cramping up.\

Thanks for sharing Jess. I appreciate this a great deal.
