I finished this one yesterday. This is my English trade knife blade, but with a full tapered tang and bone grips. 7 1/4" blade of 01. It is 3/32" at the grip junction with the blade, then tapers in both directions. The tang finished out at 1/32" at the butt. Maybe a tad less. Weighs in at 5oz. I still have to make a sheath for it, and age it, although I like it as is. Thanks for looking.

I like it just as it is. Give it some time and it will have a very authentic aged appearance :)

That is such a nice looking knife....and I really like the way your mark looks on it too. I would love to see some pictures or have some info on how you do the antiquing process on a knife that is put together like this.

Wick, I believe that I could recognize one of your knives in the dark! Your craftsmanship is what drew me back into this insanity in the first place! I hadn't made a knife since I was about 18 yrs of age, and it was a user not too pretty. One of your trade knives is what inspired me to start back building knives again! :D

I kind of like the looks of it as it is too but a little aging will fit it into the period for which you build. Are you going to age the blade or the bone?
Fine work as usual!

The owner wants it all aged. I will just stain the grips darker, and rust the steel. I'm not going to beat up up. I will re-post it afterwards. I am going to try a less aggressive method than I have been using.
