That is a crazy time consuming mod on a cg. To me its like a trade off. On one hand you will have the "stupidest" sharp busse and on the other hand no busse warranty! But the mod was done Right this I know! To me its worth more but some less. You have to find that guy! But as soon as a price or a offer is mentioned this post will close like a steel trap!!

From what I have seen, folks who buy guns or knives and then have custom work done to those pieces very rarely get their $ back out of the piece. Sure, if you buy a custom from Les Baer, you may get your $ out of it, but even when you take an ok gun and make it objectively better (new trigger, etc.), that $ is usually gone if you later try to sell it. That has been my experience anyway. And given the current market, I would not hold my breath.

I do not mean to imply anything bad about Ban's work or the knife itself. IMO, Ban is as good as the pros and we all know how good the knife is. Still, you might get lucky, but I think asking for more than the original price is probably wishful thinking.

+1, my Banned blades are high performance users they lose all their steam on the exchange, and you (anyone) will lose money.

Figure what you have in it, list it and see what happens. What really matters is what you will sell her for, given your circumstances that causes your sadness to get rid of it. With the market right now, it just boils down to what you have to have. It's a beautiful blade by the way! Ban Rocks! Good Luck Bro!

Personally I am highly attracted to a Banned AK-47, but I hv never thought about a banned at all....

Maybe to me, i feel it is unnecessary to be Banned since we already have FBM in LE. The only selling point is the snake skin scale that will consider rare.

AK-47 was never offered a LE version, longer swords always looks better without coating. Banned desire logic really is different when comes to FBM.

Nowadays, what everyone might think it's worth, is not necessarily what people will pay. There was a sweet Banned FSH on the XC for 600 I think and I don't think it ever sold. Plus, a lot of people want the Busse logo on the blade.
If it were me, I'd start it at 600 and see what happens. OR, if you truly want to determine market value, put it on Ebay.

Every time one of these price quote questions pops up it always turnes into a sale thread..

That said, I've rarely seen modified Busse's go for more than thier stock counterparts.

i cant really sell it if i dont know what to ask for it..... have a good day.

Part of selling is YOU decidine what YOU want for it, then advertizing for that price. If you are asking others what its worth, that is more like an auction.

Actually . I believe that exact blade was my first Busse ...... I may be interested in picking it up for sentimental reasons ....

Looking at the market just now and considering the arrival of the NMFBMs I would say if you price match your Banned FBM to a good condition CGFBM you won't be far wrong.

I know Bans' work is good but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for many they would rather have a bomb-proof warranty than a blade that can slice stuff just by being in the same room as it.

I think it's a good looking blade for what that's worth.
