Finally finished this off. Stripped, rounded pommel, scaled with bocote and black spacers.

Now it just needs some nice leather pants.
 
I like that! I hope you show that to Ethan. It is a good melding of the original Becker concept with more traditional features that even appeals to us old Codgers!
 
Now to get some nice leather pants for it!

Black Kydex just won't do on a georgeous knife like that.
 
Did you use the existing tang holes, or do something new?

I used the existing holes. I rounded off part of the pommel, the squarish look wasn't doing it for me.
 
That's one of the best mod jobs I have ever seen,it may well even be THE best !!!

I used the spray on stripper you can get at Home Despot. The stuff works great. Just watch out, it will eat away at liners and anything else it touches.
