Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Luke and I recently purchased my first knife. My interest first peaked when my co-worker started talking about his collection so I decided to pick up my own.

I currently own a Honshu Karambit and a Black Legion Boot Knife. I recently ordered a balisong and a balisong trainer. I have a few question to ask as was wondering if I could gain any insight

What hurts more, a cut or stab?

Worst injury you've received?

Proper OPEN CARRY etiquette?

How many knifes to do you own?

Most expensive?

How's your day?

Seriously?

Only advice I can offer is that your collection is tactical-folder-light. Go look at an Emerson, a Benchmade, a Cold Steel, a Spyderco, a Zero Tolerance, a Buck....something.

What hurts more, a cut or stab?

In my limited experience, a cut. I've yet to be stabbed, however.

Worst injury you've received?

Log splitter..

Proper OPEN CARRY etiquette?

Not quite sure. Nor do I care. :)

How many knifes to do you own?

8.

Most expensive?

Benchmade 940.

How's your day?

It could always be worse.

Not sure how that helps your collection, but welcome. :)

Welcome to BF.

What hurts more, a cut or stab?

I'd think it would depend on the cut or stab.

Worst injury you've received?

Don't know if its an injury, but an abcessed staff infection in my stomach this year was surprisingly bad.

Proper OPEN CARRY etiquette?

I'm not the one to advise on etiquette.

How many knifes to do you own?

Not sure. 60ish?

Most expensive?

I've gone up to about $200 so far.

How's your day?

Very good thank you, and yourself fine sir?

Cut & stab yourself & report your findings. We breathlessly await the results.
And you're mentally capable of holding down a job?

Weird questions, kiddo! (don't know what him holding down a job has to do with anything though).

4" stabs to the gut can kill with internal bleeding, to limbs by nicking an artery, let alone severing tendons. If he was sane he would've asked about the known effects of a stab rather than diving into the deep end, asking what a stab feels like.

Welcome to BF! You're going to regret getting into the hobby, once you've been bit there's no turning back :P

Q: What hurts more, a cut or stab?

A: They're two very different pain sensations but the one stab I've incurred was agonizing.

Q: Worst injury you've received?

A: Dropping a bali-song through my left foot.

Q: Proper OPEN CARRY etiquette?

A: I always have my knife concealed in public, where I live there's two many sheeple to have it out.

Q: How many knifes to do you own?

A: Not enough (16)

Q: Most expensive?

A: Spyderco Para-Military 2 sprint run in Elmax

Q: How's your day?

A: Not too bad, thank you for asking.

Welcome to the knife world. I don't have much experience with most of the kinds of things you seem to be interested in. Never been stabbed or slashed with a knife and never want to (giving or receiving). I would assume a long cut will hurt more than a stab since most of your nerve endings are on your skin versus internal areas.

I have more knives than I need and less than I want. I would suggest that you keep your knives concealed on your person.

  1. Don't know, and don't care to find out. 'Cause there are only two ways to be on the receiving end of knife wounds, and that is to get it inflicted by some assailant, or self-inflicted through clumsiness.
  2. Nothing more severe than shallow cuts from having a blade close on my fingers (Okay, that's not exactly 'shallow').
  3. None. Only concealed. And triple concealed at that; knife in a small knife pouch, knife pouch in tool pouch, tool pouch in main carry bag.
  4. More than 80, of which about 55-60 are Enlans and Sanrenmus. The rest are Smith & Wessons and Schrades.
  5. About $22.
  6. Rotten.
