A better wallet?

Check out flipside wallets. Best wallet I have used. I also tried the humn wallet, but wasn't as impressed. The flipside is my go to!

Saddleback is a sponsor here and has their own sub forum. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/856-SaddleBack-Leather-Company I've looked into them a little but they don't really have a model that appeals to me, there are also several posts about problems with breaking cards.

The cards slots are pretty stiff when new and are tight. If you cram a bunch of cards into a new one I could see how you could break one.

In my case I started with one, broke it in. Then two, then three per slot. No problems so far. More then three cards per slot is too tight.

I've carried a Saddleback for a couple of years. No problems. 98 years to go on the warranty.

Hey Fellas,

Originally, Dave designed the medium bi-fold with pigskin down the middle of the wallet. This caused the wallet to be much stiffer and would break credit cards down their magnetic strips. We took the pigskin lining out and this fixed the problem. However we've had some "duds" sneak through the production line and we are sorry about that. We are all about quality, so if you ever have a problem with any products, please send your requests to ihaveaquestion@saddlebackleather.com or give them a call at 210-858-5210 and we will take good care of you. Cheers and thanks for all the compliments.

Saddlebacks response to broken credit cards.

I used to have a Fossil leather trifold but it was too thick, so I tried out a BigSkinny trifold leather verion and I am loving it.

Going strong with a Filson Bi-fold at work for 10 years now, mare than large enough for your needs and solid without being too stiff. I believe they are still made in the USA.

If the Saddleback ever failed me, I would probably try one of those next time. A little spendy but, it is very well made. When I got my Saddleback, it was down to it or the Filson. I think it's hard to go wrong with either choice at this point in time.

Do you wear your wallet in your front of back pocket? Front pockets tend to eat credit cards less. Just a thought...

Back pocket. I've carried it there since I've owned a wallet. I could try front pocket carry, that would solve my problem. I'm sure it will feel weird at first but like all things, adjust.

I read on the forum that saddleback fixed that issue. When I have a chance ill post it.

I really like Dave's stuff in general, and yes they fixed the Medium Wallet problem......by discontinuing the model. I had the original in Coffee....and it regularly broke every card I put in it. Got a remodeled version which was better...but not perfect. I just moved on and carry a Makr. They too are not made for everybody, but i am very happy with it.

i never had an issues with ccs cracking, but i only carry three of them. for the last year i have been using a coach i picked up for 35 bucks on sale. most things i take pics of and keep on my phone like auto ins n health ins card (doesnt hsve my ss on it).

For front pocket carry try a Mission Wallet. Roomy enough for cards, cash, a Space Pen and a Buck 55. No broken cards.

I carry a metal money clip with a slot that holds half a dozen cards.

I’ve never had a card break. It helps that it rides in my shirt pocket.
