I am looking for a big folder. Possible Spring Assist. Thick blade. Thick everywhere. Overbuilt, just cause.

Can some of you show me some suggestions?

Thanks.

I saw a Horton in a video, something like that.

How about this?

Just kidding!

We need more specifics about what you're looking for to really be able to help....

Not spring assisted, but a super-folder. Benchmade 0275 Adamas.
or... Benchmade 2750 automatic knife. Both are 3.8" inch blade, D2 steel.
The lockup is as solid as a rock. Great folders. About $150 for manual, perhaps $220 for automatic.

Couldn't have said it better:thumbup:

ZT 0600 has a thick blade stock, speed safe ti framelock cf inlay.

Cold Steel Spartan will not disappoint, has the "wave" type feature so you can make the thumb disk catch on you pants to make it open as you pull it out.

This! and the 810 Contego in CPM-M4 steel, or the Knifeworks exclusive version for only a little bit more in M390 and blue/black G10 -- the 810-1401.

The Greyman Satu is a quality large overbuilt manual folder. Its a great value as well.

Personally, I think without a doubt that Crusader Forge is as big a folder as a person could want and totally nuke proof(yes I said that on purpose cause its true!) as you can get!

No doubt the Adamas is a THICK very solid folder, but not exactly what I would call big. However, if I ever needed to pry a door open the Adamas would be my first choice in a folder.

Stuff like this

Another knife to think about is the Spyderco tuff. It's big, thick (but not so thick is sucks as a knife) and it's got CPM-3V blade steel.

Fox Knives FX-500 Trakker Meskwaki with a 5.3" blade of N690Co stainless steel (HRC 58-60) that's 0.19" thick. Overall length when open is 12.2" and weighs in at 15.7 ounces. It's HUGE. When opened you can engage a separate lock to have it act as a fixed blade. Comes with a pouche to carry folded and a sheath to carry in fixed position.
