A Big Folder For Big Hands

Based on the looks of that thing, I'd give up a lot of my most favorite knives just to have it. I got all wide-eyed and excited, then I checked the prices out... oh well. It's fun to imagine holding one. ;)

Ordered an RAO. Ordered one for a wholesale price, so we will see what I get. lol

Another knife to think about is the Spyderco tuff. It's big, thick (but not so thick is sucks as a knife) and it's got CPM-3V blade steel.

I second the Tuff, awesome piece for the price and rock solid, if your hands don't fit on a Tuff your name is Andre and you are a giant.

Grayman Satu is my favorite knife but its not assisted so I'd say look
At the dual action benchmade MLK 7505.

This is my favourite wide bladed folder:

Not trying to take away from your enjoyment of the RAO but be sure not to over do the "hard use" you put this thing through. It's a quality product but has a rather odd shortcoming. It's lock up has no room for wear, as in, none. The force of each chop is directly transferred to the lock pin which in turn can dent the liners. The lack of room for wear means each small dent in the liners directly translates into bladeplay.

There's a youtube vid of a German dude chopping up a 2x4 with it after which it rattles like a snake.

Edit: here you go: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QiBtHGfgZLI

I am glad the guy did not abuse the knife in any way. lol

Oh he absolutely did, and that's what I wanted to warn you about. It may look indestructible but it isn't. There are also youtube vids of people chopping trees and dropping concrete bricks on ZT0300s because they believe it's okay and it can handle it. It's ridiculous.
