Gentlemen:

Well, it has a bowie blade but its got a single guard. Couldn't figure out what to call it. :D This is the first 1075 knife I've made - I used an interrupted quench and was pleased both with the ashi and activity in this hamon line. The buyer was happy too. :) I ground the majors on a large diameter platen to lighten it a tech. Comments welcome.

Take care,

TK

I don't know what you call it but I call it a seriously handsome knife. Love the spalted woods.

I would call it a big old bowie, especially with the clip. Lots of historical bowies had no guard, so a single guard is not really a defining factor in my opinion.

awesome blade :D especially for the handle

Thanks to all for the kind words - it was a fun build, but then, every knife is a journey. :)
