Maybe not historically correct but if it was 1870 and I was the local smith making knifes to trade for beaver pelts this is what they would look like.
Stock removal from 1095 although I did forge some texture near the spine.
Flat grind
Machine finished blade
Curly maple handle
Overall length: 8 3/4 inches
Blade: 4 3/8 inches
