A blade for the lady?

Yeah..its no wonder we are seeing more and more PINK knives..they sell out faster than any other color out there..as far as I can tell...I keep wanting to get the wifey something along those lines..and whenever it comes to mind, I go shoppin and they are aways sold out! I cant figure if its the color, the cause or charity..or a combo of the 2. Gene

It is a nice knife and a great cause. My wife laid clame to my 740 Mora and one of my SAK's . She caries the Tinker every day to work. She loves the Mora for field dressing big game and general camp cutting. Yes, she field dresses game and fillet fish like a champ. Something about those farm girls.

Awesome I wish my Girlfriend was like that. She may just be the physical embodiment of 'City Girl'.

Anyways thanks for the link, I like Ka-Bar knives and I will probably buy her one of these instead of the pink Izula as a surprise first camp trip gift that way she will be more likely to carry it daily. :)

Oh no!

Every time anybody makes a pink knife I end up having to get one for the gf. At least these are folders...maybe I can explain that they aren't much different from the pink folders she has now.

If it was a pink fixed blade that would have been it, I would have been pestered until it showed up in the mail.

I think I have to invest in one of these for my girlfriend. It might safeguard my knife addiction in the future...

I think it's because many knife knuts try to get there girlfriends or wives (or both  :( ) involved in one of their favorite pasttimes.

Hell...I'd buy one for me...I bought a pink Zebco 202 set-up that supports breast cancer research and such. I'd have no problem with the knife, even though I ain't the biggest Dozier fan...Save second base guys :D

Well, guys, while I have a lot of knives that aren't pink, one of my frequent users is my pink Delica! :D

After all, a girl needs a knife...and it might as well be pink if that floats her boat!

My take is that it is a combination, but the support for women's cancer research and treatment is what closes the sale, as it were. This is a reason that I get incensed when someone has a pink product for sale or promotion that doesn't contribute to such causes. In a few cases I've taken the manufacturer to task, often privately and occasionally publicly, and they have "seen the light."

For our own Pink Mini-RSK Mk1, that seems to be the case when I talk/exchange emails with some of the customers who purchase them. They appreciate that we are contributing at both the wholesale (via Benchmade's program) and at retail (via our program). We've gotten good response to our limited Pink programs for the Valentines Day specials and this past holiday. We've discussed whether it would make sense to offer them as a regular part of the line, but so far we're not convinced that's viable. We wonder if the scarcity is part of what makes these short runs successful. <shrug> Anyway, just our perspective.

Hey Doug,

Thanks for chiming in on this thread. I do not own any of your gear (yet) but I have always thought your site was well done and that you seemed to be a class act.

PLUS - the pink combo above is pretty damned cool.

If this is what it takes to keep my wife prepared - I am all over it.
