I wanted to share a folder I recently finished through Noblie Custom Knives.
For this piece, I went with a Bowie-inspired blade profile because I wanted the knife to have some attitude without losing balance or everyday usability. A good Bowie line has tension in it — the clipped point, the sweep of the edge, and that sense of forward motion. On a folding knife, it has to be controlled, otherwise it turns into pure drama. My goal here was to keep the blade bold, but still clean and practical.

The blade is made from Damasteel. I like using it when I want both performance and visual character in the same piece. It is a stainless powder steel, so for me it is not just about the pattern. The material gives me corrosion resistance, good edge performance, and a surface that already has depth before the knife is even fully finished. On this blade, the pattern works especially well with the grind and the Bowie shape.

The handle scales are crystalline titanium with anodizing. I wanted the handle to feel alive in the light, with that blue-green tone and natural variation across the surface. Crystalline titanium always gives every knife its own personality. No two pieces ever feel exactly the same, and that is part of the appeal for me.

I carried that same idea over to the clip. It is titanium as well, and I anodized it to match the color language of the knife so the whole piece feels connected. I always pay attention to that kind of detail, because a clip should look like it belongs to the knife, not like it was added at the last minute.

What I like most in this build is the contrast. The Damasteel blade has flowing, organic movement, while the crystalline titanium has a more broken, mineral-like texture. Those two surfaces push against each other in a good way. The knife has a strong visual presence, but I still wanted it to feel like a real working folder, not just something made to sit in a case.

I would be glad to hear what you think about the Bowie-style blade on a folder and this Damasteel / crystalline titanium combination.
