I've been hunting a bronze Ti scale for my bronze spanto for quite a while now. Thanks to one of our regulars here the stars aligned I was able to finally nab one. It was an absolute tank with a textured CF scale on there, but with the Ti scale this thing just feels indestructable! Plus it looks friggin incredible! I did not think it was possible but my slicer just got bumped to #2 in the rotation. Lets see some bronze people! Post em if you got em.

WOW! That is super cool!! I like the Crusader Cross too, it's a really nice accent.

Great pics, too - you've inspired me to grab my camera, brb....

Thanks AZ2AK I think the silver cross adds alot to that side. I have a bronze skull on the other side but I think I might swap it out with a silver one. I like the contrast of the silver against the bronze.

Yeah, I think that would make a nice contrast.

Hope I don't step on your toes/thread - but this might be somewhat on-topic since the bronze scale helped fund (partially anyway) this one... (and your cool pics made me run outside with the camera...)..

Ahh the DLC. I love that damn thing. Your DLC and my Bronze scale are making their way around here like a freshman girl at a frat party. Haha!

Hey, AZ2AK...how do yo like the dlc? How does it hold up? I have sold most of my other DLC knives because I had issues with the black finish and jumped on the stonewashed bandwagon. The Hinderer DLC still calls out to me though, and I'd love some input about it and edc chores.

Full copper hinderer.
Jensen one of the nicest looking hinderer's i have ever scene.

Wow! Really? Thanks man. That's a huge compliment. Rick and crew make some great stuff. I love dressing them up and making them my own.

That's beautiful. The Hinderer 3" XM-18 with all ti scales is the perfect blade for me.

I still haven't tried a 3 myself. I might have to soon. Im just afraid it will be too small for my hands. I started with a 24 and still love that size and carry it often. Then went to a 3.5 spanto and then a 3.5 slicer. Now I'm back to the spanto with the new ti scale.

I find the 3" blades are perfect for me to EDC: Al Mar Falcon Classic, Sm Sebenza Insingo, Grayman Ti Dua, Hinderer 3" XM-18. I'm on the list for a Steve Karroll EDMW.

Yea I'm due to try a xm-18 3''. I'll have to get something unique though if it going to be that small. I might have to hold out for a 3'' wharnie.

Yes that is a sick combo. I would like a bronze skinner and spearpoint as well.

I'm working on a 3.5" spearpoint, the skinner after that!

It doesn't look like much hunting is going to happen this year, but already starting to plan a float hunt for moose, bear, and caribou for Fall 2014 - MUST have a skinner by then :D Although, it WILL be tied off to me because if it goes in the river I will have to go after it... (the water up here is cold).

So far it's awesome, but I'll admit it hasn't seen a lot of pocket time or use - I've only carried it maybe 3-4 times and I think I've only cut a steak and opened a couple boxes with it (at which it performed admirably) - as expected, neither of those light chores had any effect on the blade or finish. It's a great knife and the coating gives it a really cool look, but I'll admit I think 3.5" is far and away my favorite size - I'd give it up for a 3.5" DLC. In fact, a 3.5" wharnie with a WF custom ground blade, black DLC frame, and CF scale I think would be my ideal "I'll carry it everywhere, all the time" XM. As it is my prod wharnie see the most pocket time with my prod 3.5" spanto coming in second..

AZ2AK hope you didn't eat that amanita. If you did I bet it would make that Hinderer even better(if that were possible).

Jensen 81 have to agree with the rest of the group that is one awesome bronze spanto. That ti scale really puts it over the top. The skull filler is killer but personally not such a huge fan of the cross. Regardless that knife is fricken awesome. Congrats!!

Ah ha! Great, that gives me a place to start!! I'm not super smart on mushrooms so figuring out what this is was tonight's project.. Funny enough though, I took that pic this morning before heading out to misc Sat running around and noticed it is now completely gone.. Something must have wandered by and munched on it..

I'm just the opposite - I like the cross but the skulls don't do it for me..

Edit - just googled amanita: yup not gonna eat it!! Although there's gotta be some critter roaming around here now chasing rainbows and unicorns....

Technically you can eat them but your rolling the dice if you do. Not a chance I would take. And more then likely the critter that took that mushroom walks around on two legs.

Sorry Jensen81 don't mean to hijack your thread. Again incredible knife.
