A bronze beast

I am by no means an aficionado on mushrooms but its tough to beat a fresh oyster, chanterelle, or black morel sautéed in butter and lightly seasoned. Of course serving them over a nice ribeye that you slice with your XM doesn't hurt either.

Technically you can eat them but your rolling the dice if you do. Not a chance I would take. And more then likely the critter that took that mushroom walks around on two legs.

Sorry Jensen81 don't mean to hijack your thread. Again incredible knife.

Just wandered out to take a look, there's a nice sized moose print within a few feet that wasn't there when I was taking pics. The 'shroom is clipped off right at the ground..

Agreed! To further drift this thread, I ate at a restaurant in OR that specialized in mushroom dishes - to include a mushroom ice cream.. (it was surprisingly tasty).

As the old saw goes... the only difference between a good mushroom picker and a bad mushroom picker is..
There are no bad ones.

I've been hunting a bronze Ti scale for my bronze spanto for quite a while now. Thanks to one of our regulars here the stars aligned I was able to finally nab one. It was an absolute tank with a textured CF scale on there, but with the Ti scale this thing just feels indestructable! Plus it looks friggin incredible! I did not think it was possible but my slicer just got bumped to #2 in the rotation. Lets see some bronze people! Post em if you got em.

Jensen81 - Great pic of a great knife!!!

Congratulations.

That Bronze Beast is one sweet looking XM you have there!! Very nice job man! I bet that took some time and effort to get a hold of that!!

Ever since I got mine I've been watching closely for more. Someday, maybe someday.

Can't wait for Ti scales to be available again! Awesome bronze/bronze!!!

Thanks guys! I'm glad that everyone likes that setup. Since i put the ti scale on it hasn't left my side. It's either in pocket, in hand, or on my nightstand. It's funny how a new scale can renew your love for a knife. My poor slicer got used and abused then dumped for the next best thing.

The slicer shall rise again!!! I'm enjoying a new slicer right now myself!!!!

The Titanium scale on my XM 24 turns an awesome knife into a complete beast, closest thing to a fixed blade in a folder. Hang in there deals pop up, just got to dig until the ranch starts ramping up production for us ti junkies!

No anodizing yet, I like the smooth stone washed finish on both sides.

The smooth stonewash scale on there is sweet. Looks great F.O.!
From what I hear the Ti scales should be coming around for gen 4 in early January. Used ones do pop every now and then but youd better be quick!

Nice textured CF! I can't make up my mind which CF I like the best.. Smooth looks awesome, but textured looks good and has, well, texture. I'd like to get my hands on some frag CF at some point..
