This is made by Hossein a truly master smith in Iran: Dedicated to Uncle bill.

Total length without scabbard: 63,5 cms

On the day of Ashura, the thirtsy king said
Losing my head for my friends is not difficult for me
I am thirsty, thristy for justice and freedom
Otherwise, I would never feel thirst
This blade which is from heaven
Is the sword for the conquerer king
Always, holding the victory key in his hands
the one who holds the handle of this sword

Yesterday Ahmad broke the idols with the help of Ali
He destroyed pagans following the justice of Ali
The one whose blade destroys the shield with the help of angel
Would be the helper of Ali
The world is a drop and
Hossein is a sea
Good people are his followers and

since I read your posts in the Sword Forum, I've wanted to know what a Qamma looks like. Thanks for posting the pics. As I thought, it looks like a commanding and an elegant blade. This bronze one looks more menacing than the steel one, but I probably think so after reading the recount of your dialogue with its maker.

Oh, well, pagan-trashing has a long history, written of often in bibles and other Mid East religious texts. Guess there were a lot of them.

Checked ot your article/interview on Swordforums.. Good stuff! definitely some master smiths. Sounds like you had a blast!

Yes these religious texts! But the calligraphy is beautiful which makes the blade a piece of art, but I guess there are many pagans around!!!! it depends on the interpretation :) ;) .
